Senior Controls Engineer

Salary: $137,000 - 177,000 per year Requirements:

• We require a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• We need at least 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• We look for strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects with a high level of accuracy.
• We need proficiency in control solutions for power systems, including generators and battery energy storage systems.
• We value hands-on experience with closed-loop control tuning, stability analysis, and performance optimization of advanced algorithms.
• We require expertise in model-based design, including high-fidelity system simulation, automated design verification, and production-ready auto code generation.
• We need experience developing and executing test and validation plans and procedures, including HIL/SIL, bench, component, system, and fault-injection testing.
• We value experience in new product design and development.
• We look for strong written communication and presentation skills, along with the ability to explain technical topics to different audiences.
• We expect engineering knowledge that can be applied to improve products, services, and processes.
• We require proficiency with MS Excel and MS Word.
• We value experience with machine design.
• We prefer prior experience with SAP or a similar ERP system.

• We design, validate, and launch new products to market.
• We define functional requirements for new products and evaluate designs for effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety.
• We develop, run, and assess fitness-for-use testing, product specifications, and process validation plans.
• We create and review material specifications and bills of materials.
• We partner with manufacturing teams, contract manufacturers, designers, and product specialists to improve manufacturability.
• We use our PLC programming skills to create programming instructions for efficient machine operation.
• We support product development plans, including schedule, product cost, and design input alignment.
• We mentor and coach less experienced engineers.
• We travel to other company facilities as needed.
• We take on additional duties as assigned.
