To this end, Honda strives to realize “the joy and freedom of mobility” by developing new technologies and an innovative approach to achieve a “zero environmental footprint.”We are looking for qualified individuals with diverse backgrounds, experiences, continuous improvement values, and a strong work ethic to join our team.If your goals and values align with Honda’s, we want you to join our team to Bring the Future!Job Purpose:Collaborate with design from feasibility through design phase to achieve a product that can be manufactured within the factory’s capabilities while working with MMC’s to prepare and execute the trial phase of the new model development.Key Accountabilities:Conduct feasibilities studies and detailed confirmations of new technologies, design concepts and manufacturing processes.Identify past model problem history, opportunities for cost savings and safety concerns.Collaborate with product designers to develop most efficient manufacturing process.Ensure a robust process design for mass production combining manufacturing requirements, factory characteristics and project targets.Through the New Model development, create and maintain all documents necessary for process, quality, robot/equipment, training to meet certification and support daily production needs for the new model.Support launch of the vehicle during initial production at the factory (T stage).Lead and support collaborative problem solving activity with team members from final assembly factory, regional new model, and product design.Develop capability of self, colleagues, and team through training, mentoring, and sharing of experiences in area of technical expertise and understanding for succession planning and team growth.Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:Minimum Educational Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial) or equivalent related experience.Minimum Experience:2 years experience.Weld experience is highly preferred.Other Job-Specific Skills:Excel, Power Point, Catia, Read Drawings, Honda Issue Management systems (IMS, CRF), Honda drawing structure and drawing creation, NA factory line characteristics.Review and reflect product design updates to process/design on schedule for project milestones.Maintaining or improving factory manufacturing characteristics.Meet project targets after mass production, for manufacturing production department and new model project.Working Condition: Generally, first shift production hours, occasional split/second shift support required. 0-5 hours OT weekly.20% Fast-paced high-energy manufacturing environment, 80% office environment.Travel 10% per year depending on project location/statusThis role involves standing for prolonged periods in a factory setting as part of daily work duties.Please Note: Sponsorship for employment visa status for these positions is unavailable.
