The Opportunity:

As an Orbital Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our nation's space missions and ensuring the safety and effectiveness of our satellite systems. If you are an analytical thinker, a problem solver, and a team player, we encourage you to apply. You will conduct orbital analysis and data interpretation in order to monitor and track satellite positions, trajectories, and potential collisions. With our team you will analyze and identify anomalies in satellite behavior. You will participate in meetings and presentations to brief clients and management on orbital analysis findings

You Have:

• Experience with a scripting language such as shell, Perl, or Python

• Knowledge of space surveillance and tracking systems, such as radar and optical sensors

• Ability to compile and analyze statistics based on current space object population

• TS/SCI clearance

• Associate’s degree and 8+ years of experience with space, engineering or orbital analytics, Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience with space, engineering or orbital analytics, or Master's degree and 4+ years of experience with space, engineering or orbital analytics

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with space and orbital mechanics and data analysis

• Ability to identify and implement process improvements for more efficient and accurate analysis

• Ability to use specialized software and tools to perform orbital calculations and predictions

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

Clearance :

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
