It is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all North Carolinians, providing human service needs for special populations including individuals who are deaf, blind, developmentally disabled, and mentally ill, and helping poor North Carolinians achieve economic independence.Description of WorkThe Food Service Supervisor II position involves supervisory responsibilities in managing food service operations and ensuring compliance with sanitation standards as outlined by the NC Food Code in a moderate scale food service operation. The role oversees food preparation, procurement and storage of food and supplies, staff training, and record keeping. A key component of the job is supervising and supporting employees through hiring, scheduling, performance evaluation, and discipline. The supervisor is also responsible for planning and conducting in-service training for staff to maintain quality and safety standards. This position plays a critical role in ensuring efficient and sanitary food service in a moderate-scale operation.The working hours for the Food Service Supervisor II position are from 8:00am to 5:00pm.Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management PreferencesSalary Range: $39,244.00 – $68,679.00Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.The Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs )/ Management Preferences are not required.
