As a Security Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, support access control and badge processes, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, reliable team that puts people first, acts with integrity, and brings innovative solutions to the workplace. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour Job Schedule: Tue 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Wed 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM Thur 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and utility operations staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of utility facilities, operational areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and report conditions requiring attention. Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation. Support a professional environment by communicating clearly with site personnel, first responders, and Allied Universal leadership. Minimum Requirements: Customer service experience is preferred. Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred. Access control/badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
