Basic Function To assist with the overall programming and reporting of this award, we are seeking an early‑career psychologist (PhD or PsyD) with strong writing, organization, research, and communication skills. The role involves assisting with grant program components, providing supervision to doctoral students, developing didactics with the Education Director, coordinating with the Project Director, and assisting with evaluation, distribution, and analysis of annual data. The candidate will also compile the annual report and report directly to the Principal Investigator, Dr. Shareefah Al’Uqdah. Additionally, the position requires course coverage for two courses in Spring 2024 and is a full‑time appointment that requires in‑person activities. Principal Accountabilities Coordinate speakers for professional development/didactic seminars Create and update curriculum to include substance‑abuse training Advise students and ensure they obtain correct hours on their practicum sites Create and collect measures for annual grant reporting Serve as a teacher’s assistant for practicum, externship, and psychopathology courses Coordinate and communicate with substance‑abuse community stakeholders Assist with grant activities as needed Collaborate with faculty and community stakeholders for program improvement Work closely with other university, college, and division faculty and professionals Work collaboratively with faculty, students, and community stakeholders Participate in grant governance with other staff and students Create flyers, graphics, and social media postings Additional duties may be required as needed for grant administration Minimum Qualifications Terminal degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD), licensed as a Psychological Associate or Psychologist in DC. Prior teaching experience (TA accepted). Evidence of strong writing skills and strong clinical skills (APA accredited internship preferred). Proficiency with Qualtrics, Canvas, Microsoft Office Suites, and SPSS. A strong background and interest in substance‑abuse research and treatment.
