Registered Nurse - IMCU/PCU Night Shift

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM (Block Scheduling is not guaranteed)

Job Description

The IMCU unit provides specialized care for patients with neuro, cardiac, trauma, and respiratory conditions. Nurses in this role will manage a range of chronic vents and will be supported by respiratory therapy.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor patients undergoing treatment for a variety of conditions, including COPD, DKA, Sepsis, and post-op care.
• Utilize specialty equipment such as temporary pacemakers, chest tubes, arterial lines, and Bipap machines.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Assist in patient assessment and implementation of care plans.
• Participate in the care of patients requiring chronic ventilation support.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in IMCU/PCU.
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Valid NY RN license with active status and NURSYS report for licensure verification.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR system.
• Driver's license with an address matching demographics.
