This full-time contract opportunity calls for an experienced and compassionate school social worker ready to work onsite with K-5th grade students in a dynamic educational environment. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Current Illinois School Social Worker license (IL SSW) and Professional Educator License (PEL) required
• Previous experience working as a school social worker, particularly in elementary school settings
• Strong knowledge of child development, crisis intervention, and family systems within the school context
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all interactions and practices

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct social work services to students, including short-term counseling and crisis intervention
• Conduct assessments to identify student needs and develop appropriate support plans
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to promote student success
• Serve as a liaison between families, school, and external agencies to coordinate services
• Aid in developing and implementing strategies for behavioral and academic support
• Maintain confidential records and documentation in line with school policies and legal guidelines

This role spans August 12, 2026, to November 4, 2026, with the possibility for extension based on school needs and candidate fit. Full-time hours follow a weekday schedule from 8:00 AM to 3:35 PM. All work is to be performed onsite.
