Technical Writer Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Technical Writer with a strong background in insurance to join our team. This role involves creating, editing, and maintaining high-quality documentation that supports our insurance products, services, and internal processes. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of insurance terminology, regulatory requirements, and policy structures, combined with exceptional writing and communication skills. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain technical documentation including policy manuals, underwriting guidelines, claims procedures, and training materials. Translate complex insurance concepts into clear, concise, and user-friendly content for various audiences (internal teams, regulators, customers). Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) in underwriting, claims, legal, and compliance to gather accurate information. Create templates and style guides to ensure consistency across all documentation. Review and revise existing documentation to ensure accuracy, clarity, and compliance with industry standards and regulations. Support product development teams by documenting new insurance products and updates. Assist in preparing regulatory filings and compliance documentation. Contribute to knowledge base articles, FAQs, and customer support content. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Insurance, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably within the insurance industry (e.g., health, life, property & casualty). Strong understanding of insurance terminology, policy structures, and regulatory frameworks. Proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, MadCap Flare, Confluence).
