Restaurant Manager – Portillo's We are seeking a Restaurant Manager to lead a team of high performers, delivering outstanding food and customer service in a fast‑paced environment. Job Responsibilities Model operational standards and execute critical behaviours to run great shifts and create memorable experiences for guests and team members. Motivate and manage team members, providing the highest level of hospitality. Demonstrate leadership, focusing on coaching and achieving excellence. Foster team engagement through frequent recognition and communication. Ensure compliance with sanitation, food, and restaurant safety regulations. Train team members on restaurant operations. Deliver exceptional guest experiences, making each visit memorable. Execute shift planning, scheduling, training, and daily routines, including opening and closing the restaurant and managing cash handling. Make critical business decisions around inventory, budget, and labor. Job Qualifications Minimum of 1–3 years of Restaurant Management experience in a high‑volume, fast‑paced setting. Working knowledge of restaurant operations, recruiting, scheduling, food planning and preparation, sanitation, food quality, and security. Demonstrated aptitude for leading, coaching, and driving excellence at every level. Understanding of profit and loss and restaurant operations. Must pass required certified sanitation and responsible alcohol vending courses. Strong communication skills; able to read, speak, and understand English. High school diploma or equivalent. Flexibility to work 50+ hour weeks, rotating shifts (including nights and weekends) and holidays. Compensation and Benefits Base Salary : Dependent on experience, location, and additional skills.
