Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students in the Independence, MO area this summer. This position focuses on providing Occupational Therapy services across multiple school sites from June 1st to June 25th, aligning with an Extended School Year (ESY) program. Your expertise will help students meet their goals, and you may have the chance to extend your impact with additional coverage during the first weeks of the upcoming academic year in August and September.
What we’re seeking:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Missouri
- Strong background working in school-based or pediatric OT settings
- Ability to travel among various school buildings daily
- Experience serving K-12th grade students
- Commitment to delivering comprehensive services in a part-time, contract-based role
- Effective collaboration and time management skills
Primary duties include:
- Providing individualized and group therapy for K-12 students in accordance with IEPs
- Traveling between buildings as required to meet 600 minutes of service each week
- Documenting progress, maintaining compliance, and communicating effectively with staff and families
- Preparing and organizing materials based on student needs throughout the ESY term
- Participating in virtual interviews via Zoom
Enjoy a flexible schedule, working part-time (approximately 22-25 hours/week) Monday through Thursday during summer session, with no responsibilities in July.
