Maintenance Technician | 4-Day Work Week

MVS Metals (Owen Industries) – Sioux City, IA | Mon–Thu, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM

At MVS Metals, we run a fast-paced manufacturing operation — and we need a Maintenance Technician who takes pride in keeping equipment and facilities performing at their best. This is a hands-on, high-impact role on a 4-day work week , where your skills directly determine whether production runs smoothly or grinds to a halt.

The Details

• Starting pay: [Competitive — TBD based on experience]
• Hours: Mon–Thu, 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Schedule: 4-day work week
• Home by early afternoon every day

What You'll Do

• Perform and track preventive maintenance to keep equipment and facilities running safely and efficiently
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues quickly to minimize production downtime
• Work closely with production management to schedule and coordinate repairs without disrupting operations
• Train and support operators on proper equipment use and safe practices
• Assist with capital projects, new equipment installations, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Identify and implement improvements to boost efficiency and reduce costs

What We're Looking For

• Proven maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on approach
• Reliable, safety-focused, and detail-oriented
• Team player with solid communication skills — you work well with production staff and management alike
• Self-starter who doesn't wait to be told what needs attention
