Job Summary As a Parts Advisor you will be responsible for providing parts and merchandise to customers while providing exceptional customer service. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Answer telephone and greet customers & vendors in a friendly and professional manner. Take customer orders, clarify requests, identify parts needed, and offer alternative solutions if necessary. Complete sales by entering purchased items into sales/inventory system, obtain payment, add to credit account, and issue sales receipt. Maintain clean and professional appearance of counter, work area, and stockroom. Interact with the Service Team to coordinate parts for repair and service. Offer in-house and customer tech support. Order parts from suppliers based on Service Department and customer requests. Receive, unpack, and store parts in appropriate storage areas so they are readily available when needed. Pick parts, pack, and ship orders as required. Take inventory, maintain records of goods received, and keep perpetual inventory controls. Process parts warranties and returns as necessary.Support Bloomfield, CT office with ordering parts. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge and Skill Requirements Previous parts experience Understand basic components and systems Radio/Telecommunications service experience Ability to work independently and as an active member of a team. Strong multitasking, time management and prioritization skills. Excellent organizational skills and initiative. Strong foundation and understanding of technology. Strong understanding of transmission, broadcasting, switching. Control and operations of telecommunications systems. Solid mechanical background Strong understanding of public safety Strong and proven background providing excellent customer service. Good interpersonal skills as communication will be required Ability to follow a detailed process. Proficiency with all Microsoft Office Products Working Conditions Ability to work business hours of Monday Friday 8am-4:30pm. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
