Executive Chef
A private college is seeking an experienced, creative executive chef with a passion for cooking to oversee their kitchen operations. If you have a proven background in higher education, we want to talk with you!
Executive chef responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall success of the food program and overseeing all culinary functions
- Oversee all phases of planning, ordering, inventory, and food preparation
- Adhere to the client's culture and guidelines, the health department's regulations, and the company's standards and expectations of food quality, freshness, and presentation
- Motivate, train, develop, and direct the back of house associates preparing and cooking foods to accomplish the objectives of the operation to the satisfaction of the customers, clients, and management
Executive chef qualifications:
- 3-5 years of culinary management experience in a higher education setting; 2+ years of executive chef experience required
- Ability to manage cost controls
- High volume production and catering experience required
- Diverse experience with a variety of cuisine
- Associate's or bachelor's
- Creative menu planning, pricing, and experience sourcing local ingredients
- Solid tenure in previous employment-preferably no more than 2 jobs in 5 years
