Engineering Contract Administrator

GovStaff is seeking an Engineering Contract Administrator with preferred experience working on federally funded engineering or construction related contracts.

This is an onsite position in Laurel, MD offering a challenging work environment, an attractive salary between $100,000 and $110,000, excellent benefits, and an opportunity to contribute to a unique construction project alongside esteemed engineering leaders within the US Federal Government.

The selected candidate will provide support onsite at the James J. Rowley Training Center (JJRTC). The campus, and work location, is at 9200 Powder Mill Road in Laurel, Maryland.

The selected Contract Administrator will provide a range of analytical and planning, design, and construction management support services to assist the JJRTC Facility Engineering Branch in the accomplishment of its missions.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the flow of paperwork and information is maintained throughout the project team and provide the construction daily/monthly reports to the PM and COR.
• Log, route, and manage the issuance of all submittals, Request for Information (RFIs), changes, estimates, and daily QA and Safety Reports.
• Ensure all documentation received is logged in and distributed within 48 hours.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date electronic records.
• Maintain all electronic documents on a network shared drive.
• Ensure the firm is meeting submittal deliverable requirements per the specifications and their submittal register is accurate and updated real time.

Candidate Qualifications:

• Minimum Active Secret Security Clearance or above
• Ability to clear a background investigation
• Four-year degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of document management, contract administration, or database experience - preferred Maximo software
• Experience on federally funded construction or engineering projects.
• Understanding and experience with federal contract RFP's, RFI's, Change Requests, and Modifications
• Experience with Maximo Asset Management software highly preferred
• The ability to commute and work onsite fulltime in Laurel, MD.
