RN Tele Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry

This is a travel RN position in a telemetry unit. The facility is committed to the care and improvement of human life. It is a fully-accredited healthcare facility with a range of services. The hospital provides emergency services and has various specialized centers. The unit has 33 beds with a patient ratio of 1:6. There is a unit secretary present from 7 AM to 11 PM. Three CNAs are available for 33 patients on each shift. Each shift includes a Charge RN, Clinical Manager, and Director. Equipment includes electronic whiteboards and iPhones with mobile access. The documentation system is Meditech. Staff scheduling requires 36 hours and every other weekend as needed. Travelers may be floated as needed. Patient experience protocols require hourly rounds on day shift and every 2 hours after 9 PM. Chemotherapy is administered by nursing staff trained in chemotherapy protocols. Preferred certification areas include Med Surg, Palliative Care, and oncology nursing. The required uniform consists of pewter scrubs and white. The unit received recognition as a Unit of Distinction in Medical Surgical Nursing in 2018. The facility is a designated Client of the Future with frequent technology pilots.
