The pharmacist provides a positive customer service experience in accordance with the organization's mission. The pharmacist will support efficient workflows in receiving and dispensing medications and inventory. The pharmacist will oversee and direct the pharmacy technician staff and provide education to patients to enhance the customer experience.Essential Functions:Guides leadership on running a pharmacy in the Roseburg clinic as well as ability to dispense to outlying Aviva Health clinicsWorks collaboratively with the 340B Program Manager to oversee the 340B programWorks with multidisciplinary health care team to provide drug information and assist in monitoring patient drug therapiesWorks with Aviva Health leadership and staff to optimize pharmacy operations and to achieve the goals, objectives, and budget established by Aviva Health's Board of DirectorsPrepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders and detecting therapeutic incompatibilitiesPackages, labels, and dispenses medicationResponsible for supervising and directing technicians' workflows, including verifying prescription entries, preparation of medications, and labeling of medicationsProvides pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals and counseling patients on drug therapiesDevelops clinical staff's pharmacological knowledge by participating in provider meetings and training health care professionals, residents, and studentsComplies with all state and federal drug laws, including, but not limited to, those as regulated by the state board of pharmacy and the drug enforcement administrationMaintains records for controlled substances and removes outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventoryMaintains current registration, is aware of existing and new legislation, anticipates legislation, and advises management and leadership on needed actionsProtects patients and technicians by adhering to infection-control protocolsMaintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulationsComplies with all health and safety regulations and requirementsMaintains patient confidentiality and complies with HIPAA regulationsRespects diverse views and approaches, and contributes in maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility, and acceptance toward all employees, patients, and visitors.Performs other similar and related duties as required or directedQualifications:High school graduate or equivalent education.Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited pharmacy college recognized by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) required; Pharm.D preferredValid Oregon state pharmacist licenseBLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification will be provided upon hireAt least two (2) years of professional job experience340B pharmacy knowledge a plusStrong attention to detail, quality focus, and legal complianceMust be able to interact with a variety of individuals at various levels under stressful circumstances while exercising sound judgement, tact, and diplomacyUtilizes sound professional and clinical judgement in caring for patients with various mental health conditionsPassionate about providing high quality care to low-income, underserved residents in healthcare setting.Ability to work with people in various environmentsExperience using Microsoft Office products and computersWillingness to learn electronic medical record as necessary to perform the duties of the jobCommunicate with clarity, both verbally and in writing, to groups and individualsAviva Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer We are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where all qualified applicants receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected status.Aviva Health is a Drug-Free WorkplaceTo ensure a safe and secure environment for our employees and patients, Aviva Health maintains a drug-free workplace.
