Job Description

IDR is seeking a Network Security Engineer to join one of our top clients for an opportunity that is 100% remote! This role involves supporting and maintaining enterprise network environments across multiple locations and cloud platforms. The company operates within a large-scale, highly distributed enterprise environment, focusing on network infrastructure, security appliances, and cloud connectivity.

Position Overview for the Network Security Engineer:

Support and maintain enterprise network environments across corporate, cloud, and facility locations.

Troubleshoot connectivity, performance issues, and outages independently.

Configure and support network security appliances, firewalls, routers, switches, and wireless infrastructure.

Support network connectivity between corporate offices, data centers, and cloud environments such as Azure and AWS.

Collaborate with infrastructure, security, cloud, application, and support teams to ensure network integrity and performance.

Requirements for the Network Security Engineer:

3–5+ years of network engineering or network administration experience.

Strong understanding of enterprise networking and hands-on experience with Fortinet, Meraki, Cisco, or similar technologies.

Experience with TCP/IP fundamentals, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF).

Exposure to or experience with supporting Azure and AWS networking.

Ability to troubleshoot issues independently and communicate findings clearly.
