Must currently reside in Oklahoma City metro area - Hybrid Position

The Business Analyst II is accountable for ensuring that project solution(s) to relevant opportunities and/or problems meet the Customer's true needs. In working on medium-sized technology-related projects and/or phase(s)/component(s) of large technology-related projects which have generally medium complexity and/or medium business risk in collaboration with the project team, perform the following:

1. Elicit and capture current state process and requirements associated with the problem or opportunity presented and facilitate the evaluation and understanding of the business true need via business analysis following Business Analysis best practices.
2. Collaborate with project team to facilitate the definition of solution options both technical and business in nature.
3. Collaborate with project team to analyze and evaluate solution options taking into consideration business, technical and security requirements and cost and benefits associated with each solution option.
4. Work with the project team in continuing to refine and clarify the requirements for proper solution development and/or implementation.
5. Individually or in partnership with a more senior Business Analyst train/mentor other Colleagues throughout the enterprise on business analysis best practices, System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) best practices and in execution of cross-functional project dependencies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with emphasis on Business, Information Technology, Management Information Systems or related area of study preferred; 7 years commensurate experience in Business Analysis will be considered.
• 5-7 years experience, 3 years need to be job-specific.
• Strong interpersonal skills including negotiation and conflict management.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills including thinking creatively, systematically and visually in order to effectively analyze issues and describe solutions.
• Strong aptitude for learning new systems and understanding capabilities and configuration.
• Strong communication verbally, nonverbally and in written form to ensure clear understanding of concepts, needs and solutions, particularly in difficult or stressful situations.
• Strong ability to elicit, analyze, communicate, verify, and validate requirements.
• Strong facilitation of communication associated with business problems and opportunities.
• Strong understanding of functional design methods and implementation of both technical and non-technical solutions.
• Strong requirements specifications writing skills in both technical and user-friendly language.
• Strong business process mapping skills.
• Experienced with System Development Life Cycles.
• Strong teaching skills to educate colleagues on new solutions to ensure successful change.
• Strong analysis of data relationships, system integration considerations and development platforms.
• Strong listening skills, specifically in a team environment.
• Strong knowledge of technology solutions as well as organizational structure and strategic direction.
• Experienced execution and understanding of Business Analysis best practices as defined in the most recent version of the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge.
• Experienced with various project management methodologies.
• Self motivated and works well with little supervision.
• Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (e.g., CCBA), preferred.
• Lean / Six Sigma experience a plus.
• Insurance industry coursework or designations, preferred.
