Data Center Technical Trainer / Workforce Development Lead
We are seeking experienced data center technicians who are ready to take the next step in their careers: mentoring, leading, and developing the next generation of data center professionals. This role supports a large-scale workforce development initiative and is ideal for technicians who have grown within data center operations and want to share their real-world expertise.
This position blends hands-on operational knowledge with technical leadership in both classroom and lab environments. You'll work closely with developing technicians, helping translate live data center experience into practical skills, best practices, and long-term career readiness.
What You'll Do
Lead onboarding and development for new data center technicians
Provide hands-on mentoring, coaching, and technical guidance
Share real-world experience from live data center operations
Support infrastructure deployments, troubleshooting, and operational learning
Deliver technical leadership in classroom and lab environments
Assist with lab setup, operational readiness, and program coordination
Complete reporting, documentation, and administrative program tasks
Partner with CBRE leadership to support long-term workforce development initiatives

Required Experience & Core Skills
Strong background in cabling, terminations, and rack & stack
Familiarity with structured cabling, low-voltage systems, and fiber
Proven technical leadership and mentoring or team-lead experience
Hands-on knowledge of data center infrastructure environments
Ability to clearly explain technical concepts and guide groups in operational settings
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Experience in hyperscale or enterprise data centers
Experience with server deployments, hardware troubleshooting, and operational workflows
Exposure to environments such as Meta, Google, AWS, or other hyperscale providers
BICSI, OSHA, or other industry certifications
Bilingual skills are a plus
Comfortable presenting and leading groups in classroom or lab environments

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
