Registered Nurse IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a Stepdown/IMC unit specializing in critically ill patient care. This role involves managing complex cases with a focus on respiratory issues, hemodynamic stability, and acute diagnoses, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with respiratory issues, weakness, UTIs, AKI, and chest pain.
  
  
• 
  Titrate and monitor drips including Heparin, insulin, Cardizem, and amiodarone as required.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors to coordinate patient care and unit operations.
  
  
• 
  Utilize RT and monitor tech equipment to ensure optimal patient safety and treatment efficacy.
  
  
• 
  Follow unit-specific protocols and complete orientation to ensure compliance with hospital standards.
  
  
• 
  Document patient assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in electronic health records.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid and unexpired drivers license submitted with application per unit policy.
  
  
• 
  Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Stepdown or ICU experience with handling titratable medication drips.
  
  
• 
  Ability to read and interpret EKG strips and monitor patient telemetry.
  
  
• 
  Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently within a team.
  
  
• 
  Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays.
