Systems Engineer

Volt is immediately hiring Systems Engineer at SALT LAKE CTY, Utah As a System Engineer, you will be responsible for: Contributing to the design, development, integration, and validation of complex systems while ensuring alignment with customer requirements and technical specifications. The individual will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, manage multiple concurrent projects, and support system testing to ensure performance, functionality, and compliance with industry standards. Responsibilities include translating customer needs into detailed system designs, preparing technical documentation, and presenting technical information during customer reviews. The position also requires troubleshooting technical issues throughout the development lifecycle and providing technical support to customers. Additionally, the candidate will assist in project planning, resource management, and continuous process improvements to enhance engineering efficiency and project delivery. This is a 12 Month full-time Contract or Contract to hire opportunity. Clearance: Secret Clearance What We're Looking For: Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills: Proven experience in DMSMS management, obsolescence mitigation/systems engineering/project management experience. In-depth knowledge of DMSMS principles, industry standards (e.g., SAE-ARP-6272), government standards (SD-22) and best practices for mitigating obsolescence risks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex technical information and make informed decisions. Experience with component selection, qualification, and substitution processes. Proficiency in using DMSMS management tools, databases, and software applications (e.g., I.H.S., Silicon Expert) Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines. Proactive mindset, with the ability to anticipate potential DMSMS challenges and develop effective mitigation strategies.
