3+ years of Systems Engineering, Software Systems Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering, or related experience within Aerospace, Defense, Intelligence, or other highly regulated environments Experience supporting requirements development, system integration, architecture, verification, or technical planning activities Bachelors of Engineering in a relevant discipline (ideally mechanical or electrical focus) Exposure to a heavy deliverable-based environment Active Secret Clearance Nice to Have Skills & Experience Experience working with Electronic Warfare or Aircraft Weapon Systems Model-Based Systems Engineering experience Job Description An employer is seeking a Systems Engineer, Software Systems Engineer, or Cyber Software Systems Engineer to support the development of advanced airborne mission systems and defense technologies. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced engineering environment focused on requirements development, system architecture, functional decomposition, integration, and technical planning to ensure complex systems meet customer and mission needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, customers, program leadership, and cybersecurity stakeholders to capture and manage requirements, develop system-level architectures, define interfaces, and allocate requirements across hardware, software, networks, RF, cyber, and mission system components. Responsibilities include supporting technical reviews, requirements traceability, risk management, trade studies, system integration efforts, cybersecurity considerations, and the development of engineering documentation throughout the product lifecycle. This position requires an active DoD security clearance and is ideal for candidates with experience in systems engineering, software systems engineering, cybersecurity engineering, requirements management, model-based systems engineering (MBSE), architecture development, secure system design, and technical leadership within complex defense, aerospace, intelligence, or national security programs. Candidates with experience supporting electronic warfare, mission systems, avionics, communications, cyber operations, secure networks, DevSecOps, or open systems architectures are highly desired.
