SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST - PARDEE ELEMENTARY

Speech & Language Pathologist

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree - Speech and Language Pathology
• Must meet the requirements as specified in the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education Revised R340.1796
• Certification of Clinical Competence for ASHA or finishing the last Clinical Fellowship year
• Experience with multiple special education populations (e.g. ASD, LD, EI) preferred
• Knowledgeable and experienced with speech and language diagnostic procedures

Requirements:

• Experience in differential diagnosis, assessment, progress monitoring and reporting
• Ability to plan evidence based interventions for individual and groups of students
• Possess the capacity to teach strategies to students and teachers that support progress in the general education classroom and provide push into the classroom speech and language therapy
• Ability to compile data and prepare diagnostic reports
• Ability to complete Special Education and district responsibilities within compliance timelines
• Excellent time management, communication and organizational skills
• Ability to interact positively with students, staff and parents
• Skilled in collaborating with other professionals
• Appropriate technology skills to integrate with instruction
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Perform other duties as assigned
