About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the finance team for its behavioral health division. This is a pivotal role with a focus on building and leading the team, as well as establishing the necessary systems and processes to support the division's significant growth. The CFO will be responsible for all aspects of financial management, including owning the monthly close, delivering accurate GAAP financial statements, and designing robust internal controls. A key part of the role is to serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive team, driving financial performance, and enabling strategic transactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare accounting, with at least 10 years' experience, and a proven track record in building or rebuilding finance functions. Candidates for the CFO position at the company should have a senior accounting leadership background, with direct experience in the monthly close, external audit, and leading an accounting team. A controllership foundation and familiarity with Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, revenue cycle management, and multi-site healthcare operations are essential. The role requires a technically hands-on leader, with a focus on team development, and the ability to work closely with operational and clinical teams. The CFO will also be responsible for governance and capital structure, including managing lender relationships and financial reporting obligations. A CPA is strongly preferred, and experience in private equity-backed or institutionally owned businesses is a plus. The successful candidate will be a collaborative, direct communicator with high integrity, and the ability to maintain financial discipline while being warm, steady, and trust-building.
