About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Accounting to lead the transformation of its finance and accounting team. The successful candidate will be a true transformational leader, driving operational excellence and strategic output. This role is highly visible and involves overseeing not only core accounting functions but also budgeting, treasury, and process normalization across a multi-location operating footprint. The VP of Accounting will be responsible for producing timely and accurate financial reporting, leading a large accounting organization, and ensuring compliance with standard practices. Additionally, the role includes identifying and addressing operational bottlenecks, implementing enhanced accounting policies and internal controls, and supporting the company through rapid M&A integration. Candidates for the VP of Accounting position at the company should have a proven track record in functional accounting leadership, particularly within retail, multi-unit, restaurant, or dealership settings. Experience in managing and scaling large, cross-functional accounting teams, as well as a background in private equity portfolio companies, is essential. The role requires a leader who can partner with various executives to provide premier corporate financial services, establish and monitor financial benchmarks, and guide the finance department through strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial leadership, be adept at mentoring and developing teams, and have experience in areas such as tax planning, corporate consolidations, and external audit management.
