About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Malone Healthcare to find a qualified IMC RN in Overland Park, Kansas, 66206!

• Provide direct patient care across Med/Surg Intermediate and PCU departments as part of a float pool position - no home unit assigned; floating between approximately 5 units and to additional metro campuses as needed
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to emergent situations on the unit
• Care for patients presenting with conditions including Stroke, Sepsis, AFIB, Renal Failure, GI Bleed, ETOH, SI, wound care, and COVID
• Perform Pre/Post Cardiac Cath care and utilize tools including Virtual Nurses, 12-lead EKG, AirVo, Voalte, and Omnicell
• Fulfill holiday shift and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit
• Complete 8 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period (combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)

• Active RN license - both Kansas and Missouri licensure (or compact license) required at time of submission ; pending licenses not accepted
• Minimum 1-2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, cardiac telemetry, neuro stepdown, and MS/Tele work settings
• Must live at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with sheath removal (cardiovascular)
• Feeding tube care and management
• IV therapy skills including port access, blood product administration, and central line care and management

• Gain broad clinical exposure across multiple Med/Surg Intermediate and PCU units within a large metro health system
• Guaranteed hours provided with 3 shifts per 13-week contract period for cancelled shifts
