Eat Smart, Move More, Weigh Less Program Assistant Department: Department of Agriculture and Human Sciences (CALS), Raleigh, NC. Position: Full time, 1.0 FTE, 12‑month recurring. Salary: $48,000 – $53,000 (commensurate with experience). Work schedule Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm. Responsibilities Program Administration (40%) Coordinate mailings of program materials and attendance‑based incentives to enrolled participants per protocol. Secure and manage inventory of program materials with vendors (workbooks, journals, incentives). Update enrollment counts, track client invoices, and manage instructor credentialing to ensure in‑network status with insurance providers. Process claims submissions, perform eligibility checks, and track denied claims. Maintain a database of instructor sub requests and schedule meetings as needed. Attend and report at regular team meetings. Communications (60%) Provide primary coverage for program email accounts and respond promptly. Send standard emails to participants at the start and end of each program series. Review participant communication in online portals per protocol. Maintain task list for web developer; update program websites, registration systems, and participant portals. Collect, organize, and post testimonials on program websites. Post regular content to program social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest). Post blogs on program websites; track views with Google Analytics. Draft and schedule monthly newsletters highlighting recent blogs and upcoming classes. Update basic website content using WordPress. Assist with marketing/recruiting events and maintain contact database in Constant Contact, running email campaigns. Other Responsibilities Additional tasks assigned based on organizational needs and evolving priorities. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in a health‑related field (e.g., Public Health, Social Work) and at least three years of relevant experience. Experience creating and posting social media content. Proficiency with MS‑Excel. Other Required Qualifications Self‑initiating, able to multitask effectively in a complex environment. Team player with exceptional organizational skills and strong attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Experience with WordPress and Constant Contact. Experience with insurance claims submission. Required License(s) or Certification(s) Valid driver’s license required for travel; NC driver’s license required within 60 days of hire and must be maintained.
