Activity Therapist - Per Diem

Activity Therapist – Per Diem HRI Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Activity Therapist for our inpatient psychiatric units. This is a highly satisfying opportunity for a clinical professional who thrives on providing highly individualized care to a very acute patient population. This is a Per Diem position with hours available on weekdays and/or weekends. Website: Responsibilities Run assigned treatment groups to meet the need of various functioning level and/or diagnostic categories Utilize interviewing techniques, observations, formal and informal screening/evaluation tools to assess functional level of patients Identify patients’ assets and problem areas Collaborate with patients in goal-setting Recommend appropriate activities for goal attainment and assist patients to select appropriate groups and activities Complete daily notes for each group Benefit Highlights Challenging and rewarding work environment Career development opportunities within UHS and its subsidiaries Competitive compensation Qualifications Education: Master’s in human services related field required. Art Therapy, Music Therapy or other expressive therapy specialty preferred. License: LCSW, LMHC, LICSW, or OT preferred. Experience: One year prior inpatient clinical experience preferred. Six months prior experience as a group leader preferred.
