Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day operations as a Mental Health Therapist will include:

• Conducting thorough mental health assessments to evaluate patients' needs and collaboratively developing individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices.
• Implementing various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to support clients during one-on-one and group therapy sessions.
• Facilitating psychoeducational and support groups designed to foster community engagement and provide psychoeducation on mental health issues.
• Collaborating with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to provide a holistic approach to patient care, ensuring all aspects of mental health are addressed.
• Providing immediate crisis intervention services and support during mental health emergencies, effectively managing acute situations as they arise.
• Educating patients about their mental health conditions, the available treatment options, and community resources that can aid in their recovery journey.
• Maintaining confidential and accurate documentation of client interactions in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
• Participating actively in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing professional development activities to stay current with emerging trends in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population experiencing a range of mental health challenges. Your focus will primarily be on adults who are seeking assistance with emotional and psychological distress, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, and substance use issues. Your expertise will empower them to navigate their difficulties and achieve meaningful progress in their recovery processes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of three years of relevant experience as a mental health therapist, demonstrating expertise in the field.
• Valid licensure as a licensed independent clinical social worker (LICSW), mental health counselor (LMHC), or marriage and family therapist (LMFT) in the state of Washington.
• A strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based therapeutic approaches, along with the ability to effectively communicate these concepts to clients.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and develop effective treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling the establishment of rapport and trust with clients.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in delivering therapy to a diverse clientele and familiarity with outpatient services in a psychiatric setting will be preferred. Additionally, training in specific therapeutic modalities or crisis intervention techniques will be viewed favorably.
