Phlebotomist

BIO You will serve patients in the local community by visiting their homes and performing blood draws. You will work autonomously with flexibility in scheduling. The ideal candidate is organized, has at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience, and prior experience in an outreach or outpatient setting. Compensation $20.45 - $27.53 per hour. Essential Functions Performs phlebotomy (venipuncture, fingerstick, heelstick) according to established procedures. Uses correct technique to minimize patient discomfort. Trains and mentors new employees and student interns in phlebotomy duties. Follows organizational and departmental policies. Identifies patients and labels specimen tubes accurately. Schedules outreach patients using the hospital computer system. Plans morning routes for fasting and drug level draws. Schedules homebound patients within a two‑hour timeframe. Accepts STAT add‑on calls within contracted time frames. Draws all assigned patients by shift end and completes accurate tally. Communicates results to outreach or off‑site clients and reports to VNA when needed. Assists coworkers with additional blood‑draws, add‑ons, and STAT draws. Maintains patient information in the hospital computer system. Performs EKGs: enters demographics, applies leads, captures 12‑second recording, prints and stores data on the disk, delivers copy to chart. Adheres to safety procedures, uses PPE, and follows Universal Precautions. Operates within the Safety Management Program and Infection Control Manual. Participates in continued learning and adopts new technologies and procedures. Embraces technological advances to improve communication and efficiency. Qualifications At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience. Experience in outreach or outpatient settings. Valid Driver’s License. Shift & Schedule Varied shifts. Monday‑Friday 7:30 am – 4:00 pm, with possible weekend rotations. #J-18808-Ljbffr
