Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New York license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >75 miles from facility to be submitted.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Aya Program - Rochester Regional Health System and no current placement allowed at Program: Aya Program - Rochester Regional Health System.

Additional Details:

Lab Completion: All health-related requirements and lab work must be completed within 5 calendar days of signing. You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.

Required Skills/Experience: First-time travelers accepted with experience in patient ratio requirement. Patient ratio experience required: 1:6. Charge experience required. Telemetry - on the unit monitoring; use of rapid response/code teams; pacemakers (temporary/permanent); feeding tube care and management; blood product administration; central line care/management; phlebotomy; peripheral line care/management; PICC line management; starting IVs; heparin protocols; ortho trauma; total joint replacements; surgical drains; High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC); nasal cannula; oxygen face masks; portable oxygen tank; tracheostomy management; isolation precautions; wound care/wound vac.

Unit Details: High-volume overflow unit with 1:6 staffing ratios. Complex care unit for Medicine, ortho overflow, and complex long-term patients. Need to be able to take a 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio for MedSurg.

Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend.

Maximum consecutive days off: 10
