Up to 5-day work week totaling approximately 23 – 32 hours, with one evening per alternate week and no weekends. We are a privately owned solo doctor practice with a tight‑knit team that has been serving the community for over 35 years. Together, we strive to create a collaborative and positive work environment where everyone can succeed. Job Summary The Dental Hygienist is the chief preventive provider of the Practice. This team member motivates, educates, and provides excellent treatment. Under indirect supervision, the Dental Hygienist will remove hard and soft deposits from teeth and examine oral areas, head, and neck for signs of oral disease. He or she will educate patients on oral hygiene, provide preventative dental care, take X-rays, or apply fluoride or sealants. By discovering and documenting areas of failure, both periodontally and restoratively, he or she facilitates the dentist’s diagnosis and treatment recommendations. Responsibilities Conduct oral health assessments and review patient history Perform routine and deep dental cleanings, including: Supragingival and subgingival scaling Root planning Polishing and flossing Take and process diagnostic digital X-rays Apply fluoride and sealants Educate children and caregivers on oral hygiene practices Chart existing restorations, caries, and periodontal conditions Sterilize instruments, maintain operatory cleanliness, and adhere to OSHA and HIPAA regulations Monitor and report changes in patients' dental or medical condition to the dentist Qualifications Associate's Degree from an ADA‑accredited dental hygienist school Current State Licensure CPR Certification #J-18808-Ljbffr Northeast Pediatric Dental - NEW
