Location: Georgetown, KY Work Arrangement: On-site Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Travel: Approximately 15% – including travel to Canada and Mexico for training and meetings Overtime: Approximately 10%, including occasional weekends, holidays, shutdown periods, and off-hours

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support manufacturing engineering and capital equipment projects at a large automotive manufacturing facility in Georgetown, Kentucky.

This position will focus on industrial electrical systems, power distribution, equipment installations, project management, and electrical/safety compliance. The Electrical Engineer will work closely with engineering teams, contractors, skilled trades, equipment manufacturers, and safety compliance partners to successfully execute projects from initial feasibility through installation and completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate project feasibility, scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop scopes of work, bid packages, and technical project specifications.
• Review electrical and technical drawings and provide engineering feedback.
• Evaluate industrial electrical power systems and equipment requirements.
• Evaluate electrical installations for compliance with local and national electrical and safety codes.
• Review power distribution, breaker sizing, amperage requirements, SCCR, and electrical panel loading.
• Specify and confirm electrical components for industrial equipment.
• Coordinate with third-party electrical and safety compliance contractors.
• Support contractor bidding, technical evaluations, and negotiations.
• Coordinate equipment installation with engineers, skilled trades, contractors, affiliate companies, and equipment manufacturers.
• Supervise contractors supporting greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Collaborate across multiple engineering and manufacturing groups to achieve project milestones.
• Identify project risks and develop countermeasures to prevent or recover from schedule delays.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, technical trade certification, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of project management experience.
• 2+ years of technical drawing experience.
• 2+ years of industrial power distribution and/or electrical system design experience.
• Experience developing bid specifications and working with contractors.
• Knowledge of industrial electrical systems and equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects, contractors, and technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
• Automotive manufacturing experience.
• Automotive paint process or paint manufacturing experience.
• Experience managing projects within Toyota or a similar high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Experience calculating or evaluating utility costs.
• Understanding of Toyopuc, Omron, and Allen-Bradley.
• Knowledge of FL-Net and Ethernet.
• Understanding of OT/IT networking.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E and NFPA 77.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on electrical engineering professional with strong experience in industrial power distribution, manufacturing equipment, electrical design, contractor management, and capital project execution.
