Senior Property And Casualty Underwriter
Our client is a medium sized but growing insurance firm, who are now looking for an experienced underwriter for their New York City office.
Duties Include:
- Representing the company related all related underwriting related to large property underwriting projects
- Extensive liaison with sales/marketing and brokers nationally
- Partner with other underwriting teams
- Regular travel to client sites
- Coordinate new and existing business and provide strategic vision for the department.
Candidate Should Possess:
- At least 7 years+ of underwriting experience with exposure to property and middle/larger accounts
- Undergraduate degree
- Strong analysis skills and proven strategic initiatives exposure
- Solid understanding of finance, financial analysis and insurance markets
- Demonstrated ability to develop best-practice underwriting practices
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Relevant insurance licenses as required by individual states
- Ability to travel on a regular basis away from home.
