About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Duration: 13 to 26 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 1 year in related specialty License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - 1 year of experience with EPIC EMR - Charge experience - Experience with patient ratios of 1:1 Description: This position requires working four ten-hour shifts. Shifts will typically be scheduled Monday through Friday and on Sundays. Travelers will take call one weekend in a five-week period and one Sunday shift in a five-week period. Sunday is considered one of the four scheduled days for that week. Each traveler will also work one call shift per week and one late stay shift per week. Working hours will rotate between 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM or 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. All travelers are required to work two of the three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day, according to facility policy. Calling out on a holiday may result in immediate termination. Requesting time off during the period of December 26-31 is not permitted to meet holiday staffing needs. The ideal candidate will be able to perform all cases in a cardiac catheterization lab. Interdisciplinary support will be available, including physical therapy and radiology services. Special procedures and equipment expertise are required. Travelers must float to other units as needed based on census concerns, performing only tasks for which competencies have already been documented.
