Travel RN – Telemetry (Nights)

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Nights 7PM – 7AM | Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain and record initial patient assessments and establish care priorities based on patient age, symptoms, and psychosocial needs; reassess systematically to identify trends requiring intervention.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized, measurable plans of care in accordance with nursing standards, modifying based on patient outcomes and clinical findings.
• Care for post cardiac cath, post-surgical, and high-risk medication patients including those on cardizem, heparin, nitroglycerin, insulin, ketamine, and lidocaine drips.
• Manage respiratory patients requiring NIPPV support including BiPAP and AirVo.
• Participate in patient and family health education and discharge planning; implement and document timely, age-appropriate interventions.
• Perform Point of Care testing procedures and make comprehensive nursing decisions based on interpretation of clinical facts and patient evaluations.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Knowledge and skills appropriate to the age and type of patient population served; knowledgeable and sensitive to patients' rights in the delivery of care.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for telemetry patients in an acute care setting, including post-cardiac cath and post-surgical populations.
• Familiarity with high-risk IV drip management and NIPPV respiratory support modalities.
• National professional nursing certification or advanced nursing education (BSN or MSN).
