Facilities Maintenance Technician

Compensation: $34.50 per hour. Purpose As a representative for Hope Services, you will assist with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned facilities, with an emphasis on quality, integrity, and communication. You may also provide outreach and support to all HOPE sites, ensuring good customer service and business practices. Primary Responsibilities Perform daily maintenance of assigned buildings and grounds. Perform quality repairs and assure adequate maintenance through scheduling and documentation. Prepare all required reports and maintain accurate documentation. Ensure compliance with agency safety practices and OSHA standards. Respond to customer calls, complaints, suggestions, and feedback to assure customer satisfaction. Perform and supervise painting of building interiors. Conduct periodic quality control through monitoring and confirmation calls. Perform minor repairs of plumbing, lighting, and electrical. Perform preventive maintenance procedures and minor service for the HVAC (filters, belts, cleanings). Monitor the maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment. Act as a mandated abuse reporter. Perform other duties as assigned to assure program efficiency. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED, and at least four years of related work experience. Additional business‑related experience and/or education may be required depending on the assignment. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Effective verbal and written communication. Basic computer knowledge. Facilitate systems and checks to assure delivery of quality service and product to internal and external customers. Knowledge of the principles of management, supervision, planning, and fiscal management. Knowledge of the principles of repair, maintenance, and safety regulations. Ability to observe, evaluate, document verbally and in writing. Knowledge of basic electricity, plumbing, lighting, light carpentry, HVACR, and general maintenance procedures and disciplines. Possession of a CFC certification is a plus. Practice safe work habits at all times and knowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies. California driver’s license. Physical and Environmental Conditions Work may be indoors or outdoors. The role involves extensive exposure to lifting, bending, twisting, crawling, and handling heavy machinery. Use of computers, telephones, and driving to locations is required. Exposure to noise, dust, and pollens may occur. Hope Services is an equal opportunity employer.
