Counselor Assistant

Twin County Recovery Services, Inc. is seeking Counselor Assistant for a men's reintegration residential program located in Hudson, NY. This role provides general support to Case Managers and SUD Counselors, ensuring a safe, structured, and supportive environment for program participants. No specialized skills are required, but the ideal candidate should have strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Have knowledge of addiction/co-occurring disorders through course work and/or job experience is a plus. You must be dependable and have reliable transportation. Duties and Responsibilities:

* Assist Case Managers and SUD Counselors with administrative tasks (filing, organizing paperwork, data entry). * Greet and check in program participants, helping them navigate program resources. * Monitor and maintain a welcoming, safe environment in communal areas. * Provide transportation assistance (if applicable) or accompany clients to appointments when needed. * Assist with daily living activities, including distributing supplies or coordinating group activities. * Help set up and clean up for group meetings, workshops, or special events. * Offer encouragement and support to participants as they work through their reintegration process. * Observe and report any concerns regarding participant well-being to the appropriate staff. * Maintain confidentiality and adhere to program policies. * Other duties as assigned.
