General Function This position is responsible for promoting AAG products and securing business at new and existing customers consistent with business strategy, selection criteria, and target applications. Duties and Responsibilities Initiate and grow business opportunities with customers based in N.A., including global customers and programs. Traditional OEM customers New Vehicle/Powertrain Start-ups Tier-1 customers and partners Work closely with operations personnel to develop new products and provide technical support. Develop and present commercial and technical presentations to Supply Chain & Engineering groups within customer organizations. Manage internal cross-functional activities such as engineering, manufacturing, purchasing teams as required to support new business development activity. Coordinate the new product quoting process. Develop forecasting models for new and existing products. Assist in product pricing through supplying all relevant market data. Active engagement at industry events. Facilitate a clean hand off of new product launch. Perform other duties and projects as assigned. Work Requirements Bachelor’s degree in technical/engineering discipline. Outstanding interpersonal skills. Creativity and strong problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office Products. Utilize educational experience to develop customer business proposals Able to facilitate customer negotiations in support of business growth Prior experience in AAG manufactured products and operations is a plus. Multi-lingual in AAG’s served markets is a plus. Willing to travel 3-4 days weekly.
