Any remote work is expected to be performed from an employee’s primary residence, unless allowed (or prohibited) through the Company’s remote work guidelines.Emergency Response: Yes – Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE’s emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.Job Summary Responsible for business unit supplier performance management (SPM) of medium to large size/value contracts by identifying and maximizing value opportunities. Key AccountabilitiesLead the development of a contract strategy within the business unit/COEDefine contract terms/conditions in accordance with company standardsManage post award contract activities:Manage vendor performance & complianceEnsure contract (terms/conditions) compliance; such as enforcing payment termsModify contract as necessaryEnsure contract close-out, extension or renewal (verify completion of work at close-out)Manage medium and high contracts through the entire life cycleProvide performance metrics report on contract management performance/development & complianceIntervenes, analyzes, manages and resolves business conflicts between the company and vendorsPoint of contact to resolve contractual issues as requiredIdentify and apply value maximizing opportunitiesPartner with supply chain management to develop optimal contract termsManage PO specific work efforts (technical and commercial) in accordance with corporate policyEnsure that signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility, awareness, and interpretation to support implementation.Handle on-going issues and change management documenting appropriatelyInterface with key customer, proactively insuring contractual compliance and performanceCollaborates with the SCM team to provide guidance on vendor selectionAbility to analyze current processes and make modifications utilizing CI principlesSupport structuring of negotiations of contractsSupports development of SPM value targets and tracks performance to goalsMentors other Contract Managers and supports their work as necessaryMinimum Education & Experience RequirementsAssociates degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, engineering or related discipline5+ years experience in contract management techniquesOther QualificationsPreferredA bachelor's degree and an MBA degree are preferredExcellent time management and organizational skills to manage multiple contracts and deadlines efficiently.PMP (Project Management Professional) certificate preferredExperience in power distribution and Logistics preferred Other RequirementsAbility to work autonomouslyStrong project management skillsDemonstrated ability to influence and partner with key internal and external stakeholdersExperience leading a team or a large projectExcellent communication skills and interpersonal relationship skillsAcute attention to detailNegotiation/influencing skillsProficiency in the following software: Microsoft Office, SAP, Maximo, SRMAdditional InformationIncumbents may engage in all or some combination of the activities and accountabilities, and utilize a variety of the competencies cited in this description depending upon the organization and role to which they are assigned.
