Job Summary The Senior Contract Manager leads the review, negotiation, and administration of construction contracts across commercial, industrial, and public sector projects. This role ensures all agreements accurately reflect scope, schedule, pricing, risk allocation, compliance requirements, and company standards. The Senior Contract Manager works closely with estimating, project management, legal, and executive leadership to protect the organization’s financial and operational interests. This position will be responsible for standing up the new Contract Lifecycle Management platform that has been purchased. Responsibilities Contract Review — Analyze owner, GC, subcontract, vendor, and supplier agreements for scope alignment, risk exposure, compliance requirements, and commercial terms. Contract Negotiation — Lead negotiations on indemnity, insurance, schedule, payment terms, change order processes, liquidated damages, warranties, and dispute resolution. Risk Management — Identify unfavorable clauses and propose alternative language to mitigate financial, operational, and legal risk. Contract Drafting — Prepare redlines, amendments, addenda, and standardized contract templates. Cross Functional Coordination — Work with estimating, PMs, field leadership, and finance to ensure contract terms match bid assumptions and operational capabilities. Compliance Oversight — Ensure adherence to licensing, insurance, bonding, safety, and regulatory requirements. Documentation Control — Maintain organized records of executed agreements, revisions, correspondence, and approvals. Dispute Support — Assist leadership and legal counsel with claims, disputes, and contract interpretation issues. Continuous Improvement — Enhance contract standards, playbooks, negotiation strategies, and risk review workflows.. Required Qualifications (the non‑negotiables) 5-10+ years of experience in construction contract management, project administration, or construction law. Strong understanding of commercial construction agreements, including owner–contractor, contractor–subcontractor, and vendor/supplier contracts. Demonstrated expertise negotiating indemnity, insurance, LDs, change orders, payment terms, and warranty obligations. Experience in insurance compliance and bonding (Bid & Performance bonds) Experience supporting projects in commercial, industrial, civil, or perimeter security environments. Proficiency with contract management tools (Procore, DocuSign, IronClad, etc.). Exceptional communication, writing, and redlining skills. Strong business judgment and ability to balance risk with operational realities Preferred Qualifications (the differentiators) Industry experience – Experience with construction contracts and large General Contractors.
