Job Ad The Leasing Consultant plays an integral role in the success of our team and community by providing unparalleled service to applicants and residents, helping them find the perfect home. Essential Job Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities Address the concerns of current and prospective residents in a friendly and professional manner Market and advertise the community using a wide variety of media and promotional materials Present the community and its amenities positively, assisting prospects to envision the community as their future home while assessing their needs and qualifications Tour and lease units, discussing size, layout, and available facilities (swimming pool, workout room, etc.) Enter prospect and applicant information into property management software Negotiate lease terms and conditions, and close deals Assist residents and applicants with application or lease renewal paperwork, confirming data and references Ensure timely follow‑up with all residents and prospects (thank you notes, phone calls, etc.) Track, schedule, and communicate move‑ins and move‑outs Maintain up‑to‑date resident files on every unit Remain knowledgeable of the property market status and assist in preparation of market surveys Prepare and distribute notices, newsletters, or important event information Assist Property Manager as needed with administrative tasks Refer applicants to other communities managed by The Goodman Group as appropriate Interact positively with residents to maintain high satisfaction levels Demonstrate strong professionalism and integrity as a community representative Contribute to cleanliness and curb appeal of the community Comply with all industry Fair Housing rules and regulations Operate within OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times Perform other duties as assigned by Property Manager Required Skills and Qualifications Capable of performing essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations Ability to understand and communicate written and verbal directions Regular attendance, reliability, and punctuality are necessary to meet the needs of applicants, residents, guests, and vendors during scheduled hours Availability to work nights and weekends upon request Willingness to work overtime as needed Must work on an on‑call basis Must be available on the last and first day of the month for turns Well organized with excellent attention to detail Aptitude to work independently with excellent time‑management skills Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. Minimum of one year of sales or related experience required. Fluent in English, verbal and written. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Tools Typical tools include cleaning products and equipment such as vacuum cleaners, brooms, and mops. Employee may also use snow removal equipment such as shovels and/or snow blowers. Supervisory Responsibility This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. Physical Demands Employee must sit, stoop, kneel, climb stairs, crawl, lift, push or pull objects up to 50 pounds, talk, and hear, as well as frequently walk, stand, use hands, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and possess adequate vision. Ability to read, write, and communicate with internal and external customers is required.
