Overview:

The Professional Practice Specialist (PPS) works directly with organizational nursing leaders and multi-disciplinary teams to coordinate activities which promote excellence in nursing.

The PPS reports to ministry nursing practice leader and/or facility CNO. The Specialist also models the principles of evidence-based practice throughout the organization as well as assuring compliance with regulation and accreditation process.

This role supports nursing by serving as a resource to coordinate policy/procedure/protocol/standard work review and revisions, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years clinical hospital experience.
• Required Education: MSN
• Preferred Education: DNP or PHD
• Licensure: Active RN nursing license
• Certifications: Evidence Based Practice Certification (EBP-C) within 2 years of hire.
• Other: Must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with a professional attitude and demeanor. Ability to work on projects/assignments independently. Minimal travel required.
