Adjunct Professor, Business Statistics (Applicant Pool 2025-2026)

Primary Location 2800 E. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano, Texas, 75074 Job Summary Responsible to prepare and deliver coursework in engaging, innovative, and discipline-appropriate ways that reflect a commitment to the college's core values, an understanding of culturally responsive teaching, and knowledge of the teaching field. Meet professional standards for faculty in accordance with college policies and procedures. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Teach courses in accordance with the schedule of classes and follow the approved course descriptions and syllabi established by the Division faculty and administered by the associate dean/director. Teaching assignments may be on one or more of the college's campuses or off-site locations and may include evening and weekend programs. Collin College is not hiring for online instruction at this time. May include Dual Credit courses. Perform other duties as assigned. Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures and core values. In accordance with Texas Education Code §51.992, this position is designated for in-person work at a campus or other location of Collin College. Remote or telecommuting arrangements are not permitted except under specific circumstances defined by law, including temporary illness, approved distance education assignments, or other narrow statutory exceptions. All candidates should expect to perform duties on‑site. Physical Demands and Working Conditions Sedentary work: sitting most of the time with occasional exertion of up to 10 pounds of force. The job involves talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking, repetitive motions, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching in an office environment. Little physical effort required. Requirements Master’s Degree in business or any discipline with at least 18 hours in the discipline/qualifying field, including a minimum of six graduate hours of statistical analysis from business statistics, business analytics, mathematical statistics, actuarial science, operations research, economics or social science analytics courses. Teaching experience is desired. Security Sensitive – candidates will be subject to a criminal background check. Employment Type Part time. Compensation Per Adjunct Faculty and CE Instructor Rates.
