Outreach Phlebotomy Technician

Profession: Phlebotomist Specialty: Phlebotomist Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Experience: 1 to 2 years of phlebotomy experience License: Valid driver's license Certifications: Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) Must-Have: Reliable transportation

Description: Maintain established department policies and procedures. Adhere to objectives, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Process a variety of specimens in accordance with established protocols. Perform data entry into both hospital and laboratory information systems. Monitor requests for laboratory testing that have not been processed. Conduct quality assurance checks on outpatient requisitions to ensure accuracy of data entry. Rotate onto weekends and holidays as needed. Experience with EMR (Charting system): EPIC. Patient population includes adult and adolescent medical patients. Education requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.
