Industry Real Estate Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in need of a Head of Construction to lead and oversee a portfolio of active renovation and adaptive reuse projects in the Northeast. This key role is highly field-oriented, serving as the owner's representative with a focus on construction execution, quality control, contractor management, budget oversight, and project delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day construction activities across multiple sites, serving as the primary contact for general contractors, and ensuring that all work meets the company's standards for historic preservation, adaptive reuse, and high-end finishes. Applicants for the Head of Construction position at the company must hold an active Massachusetts Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A background that includes prior field experience as a Field Engineer and/or Superintendent with a reputable GC is essential, as is a strong knowledge of structural systems, building envelope, MEP systems, and luxury finishes. The role requires the ability to maintain rigorous standards, conduct frequent site inspections, and manage various project-related tasks such as RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, and project budgets. Experience with historic, landmarked, or adaptive reuse projects is a significant advantage, and candidates should be prepared to demonstrate their expertise in this area.
