Sr Oracle Database Administrator

We are seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator with strong production support experience to manage and maintain enterprise Oracle database environments. This role will focus primarily on production database administration, operational governance, resiliency, and performance management, with opportunities to support automation and engineering initiatives. Experience supporting Oracle databases in Azure is strongly preferred, though experience in other cloud environments such as AWS is also valuable. Key Responsibilities Production Database Administration (Approximately 90%) Provide day-to-day production support for Oracle 19c databases, ensuring availability, stability, and performance Manage database provisioning, configuration, and ongoing administration across enterprise environments Execute backup, recovery, and restore operations using RMAN and other Oracle tools Implement and maintain Active Data Guard environments to support high availability and disaster recovery Support database replication strategies, including Oracle GoldenGate, where applicable Monitor database health, performance, and capacity, proactively identifying and resolving issues Manage change management processes, including documentation, approvals, and production deployments Enforce access controls, privileged access governance, and database security best practices Support audit readiness by maintaining documentation of configurations, operational procedures, and access controls Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with engineering, security, and infrastructure teams to resolve incidents Engineering and Automation (Approximately 10%) Develop and maintain shell scripts to automate repeatable database administration tasks Support automation initiatives that improve operational efficiency and reliability Contribute to infrastructure improvements and occasional architecture or engineering initiatives Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience administering Oracle databases in enterprise production environments Strong hands‑on experience with Oracle 19c database administration Proven background supporting mission‑critical production database systems Expertise in backup, recovery, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning Experience managing change control processes and operational governance Strong understanding of database security, identity, and access management practices Experience working with cloud‑based infrastructure, preferably Microsoft Azure (AWS experience also acceptable) Strong documentation and cross‑team collaboration skills Preferred / Nice to Have Familiarity with Oracle 23ai (conceptual knowledge acceptable) Experience with Oracle GoldenGate (3–4+ years preferred) Experience with Active Data Guard (3–4+ years preferred) Experience with Oracle Database Vault Experience with cloud‑based monitoring and logging tools Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Bicep Familiarity with privileged access management tools such as CyberArk or SailPoint Understanding of privileged access governance and break‑glass access workflows #J-18808-Ljbffr IntePros
