Job Purpose: Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading design efforts of complex electronics projects across the entire lifecycle(EVT, DVT, PVT, Production/Sustaining). The selected candidate will provide technical guidance to teams/individual engineers, set project direction and influence/drive the organization to a successful launch of products in the server/storage domain.Nature of Duties and Responsibilities: Expertiseo Assist in the development of architectures, product design requirements andother required documentation based on marketing requirementso Simulate/predict signal integrity and circuit functionality using state of the artsimulation tools.o Enable state-of-the-art electrical designs/approaches while meeting scheduleexpectationso Fluent in the use of Cadence toolsets Technical Leadershipo Provide expert guidance to teams and individual engineerso Articulate the goals and intent for work productso Proactively influence the organization toward successful product launches Project Managemento Provide expert input into tasks and schedule baselineso Drive team to meet scheduleso Validate delivered work products meet the needs of the project stakeholders Problem Solvingo Drive problem solving activities on projectso Drive organizational change on systemic problemso Drive use of structured problem-solving technics within the teamo Proactively assist customers to successfully resolve issues seen in theirenvironmentso Partner with Operations to optimize costs/yields on released and pre-releaseproducts. Collaborationo Participate in new product concepts and strategies and implementation methods.o Interface directly with customer development teams and contribute to productarchitecture.Education and Experience:BSEE or equivalent engineering degree8+ years experience in system level product developmentServer and/or Storage systems experience highly desiredExperience with High Speed signal design and simulation (SAS4, SATA, NVMe,PCIeGx, DDR, etc). Hands on experience utilizing standard lab equipment, oscilloscopes, meters, TDR,power equipment, etc.Strong experience in bring up/debug boards and system level designs (EVT, DVT, PVT)Experience with programmable logic (FPGA, CPLD, etc.)Familiar with simulation programs such as PSPICE, ModelSim, Ansys, etc.Ability to collect, analyze and report on datasets collected as part of test plans, customerrequests and problem-solving activitiesStrong written and oral communication skills.Knowledge of MS Office products for documentation and presenting materialKnowledge of cost basis for electronic componentsExperience working with inhouse and external high volume manufacturing partnerslocated in and outside the USMust enjoy working in a fast-paced active environment as a team playerSanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer Salary Range(annual): $135,000 - $160,000Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package.
