As part of a significant growth phase, the fund is investing heavily in the expansion of its centralized primary research function. Industrials has been identified as one of the most important early strategic hires, offering a unique opportunity for an individual to help shape coverage and influence the future direction of the team.

Unlike traditional pod structures, this team operates as a centralized resource, partnering with multiple Portfolio Managers, Analysts, and Traders across the firm. The successful candidate will play a key role in generating differentiated industry intelligence and investment insights that directly support investment decision-making across a broad range of Industrials-related opportunities.

The Opportunity

Working alongside experienced investment professionals, you will be responsible for developing proprietary industry intelligence through extensive engagement with industry participants, customers, suppliers, competitors, and subject matter experts across the Industrials ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct primary research across a broad range of Industrials subsectors.
• Perform channel checks to identify industry trends, demand signals, and company-specific developments.
• Coordinate and participate in expert network consultations and independent industry calls.
• Build and maintain relationships with relevant industry participants to develop differentiated market insights.
• Summarize research findings and communicate actionable intelligence to Portfolio Managers, Analysts, and Traders across the platform.
• Support investment teams ahead of earnings, key catalysts, and major industry developments.
• Identify emerging themes, trends, and data points that may impact investment outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with multiple investment teams to help develop investment theses and challenge consensus views.

Candidate Profile

• Experience within primary research, equity research, consulting, expert networks, market research, investment research, or a related field.
• Strong interest in public markets and the Industrials sector.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to synthesize large amounts of qualitative information into concise, actionable insights.
• Highly organized, intellectually curious, and commercially minded.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, team-oriented investment environment.
• Experience conducting channel checks, industry surveys, expert calls, or alternative research is highly desirable.
